Overview
Rivitt set out to improve real-time access to rapidly changing data from field devices operating under harsh conditions at the edge. By adopting Synadia Cloud, Rivitt built a reliable, scalable data pipeline that enables secure, real-time data flow across edge and cloud environments — even with intermittent connectivity.
Challenges
Early in 2020, Miles Hill, co-founder and CEO of Rivitt, decided to improve a critical opera- tion in the oil and gas industry: real-time access to rapidly changing data from field devices under harsh conditions at the edge. To do this, Rivitt needed a solution that could handle high volumes of data with intermittent connectivity and in real time at the edge and in the cloud, ensuring seamless data transmission and integration with customer systems.

Why Synadia Cloud?
Today, Rivitt’s simple but effective solution leveraging Synadia Cloud with its NATS founda- tion captures machine data from any field device (drilling rigs, mud pumps, wireline trucks) and moves that data rapidly anywhere the customer wants it. Synadia Cloud provided a cloud-agnostic, low latency, high availability messaging and communications platform fully managed by Synadia. It enabled Rivitt to efficiently stream, secure, persist, transmit and track customer data in real time.
