Technical Account Manager

Objectives

• Assist customers in designing enterprise architectures with NATS and other Synadia components.
• Conduct architecture reviews and NATS environment health checks and provide recommendations to customers.
• Become a trusted advisor with prospects and customers, and help them understand and apply NATS architecture concepts to design end-to-end solutions.
• Work closely with the sales team, community/marketing, customer success, and engineering to resolve challenges, demonstrate the value of Synadia to prospective customers, and advocate for meaningful product enhancements that help to solidify Synadia’s position as a trusted industry leader.

Role Requirements and Responsibilities

• Excellent presentation and communication skills in front of a skilled and experienced audience (technical or non-technical), articulating complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
• Develop a deep understanding of all the technical aspects of NATS and the Synadia product offering.
• Collaborate with the sales team and customer success to understand customer requirements and tailor software solutions to meet those needs.
• Conduct architecture sessions, product demonstrations, workshops, and educational sessions to showcase the software’s capabilities and benefits.
• Build strong relationships with customers by understanding their business challenges and proposing relevant software solutions.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing guidance on best practices and recommending appropriate software configurations.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, customer success, and engineering to ensure alignment between customer requirements and product capabilities.
• Provide feedback from customer interactions to inform product development and enhancement efforts.
• Provide technical support and assistance to customers post-sale, including troubleshooting, configuration guidance, and issue resolution, and serve as a liaison with the technical support team where needed, facilitating the resolution of technical issues in a timely manner.
• Stay updated with the latest features and updates for the company offering, continuously learning about competing products, relevant market/industry trends and technologies in general.

Skills and Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise architecture roles with software technology products (middlewares and distributed systems in general)
• Experience using, designing or developing messaging technologies, such as, but not limited to NATS.io, Kafka, TIBCO, JMS, MQTT, AMQP, RabbitMQ
• Experience interacting with user groups and open source communities.
• Experience with software development (GoLang, Python, Java, C/C++ or others)
• Experience with Cloud Platforms, and cloud native products, virtualization and containers, Kubernetes as well as related security aspects, and large scale deployments in general.
• Good understanding of systems operations concepts, disk, networking, OS (unix) and comfortable working in the terminal.
• Experience or familiarity with IoT architectures, web technologies, security and virtualization technologies.
• Ability and interest to quickly learn new technologies!
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or similar
