About Synadia

Synadia is the company behind NATS.io, one of the world’s most widely adopted open-source connectivity technologies.

We build the connective fabric where applications, services, devices, and AI agents converge. As AI moves beyond the cloud and starts acting across the physical world, everything behind it needs to connect safely and reliably, wherever it runs. NATS makes that possible: one secure namespace from edge to cloud.

Backed by a global open-source community and trusted by fast-moving startups and some of the world’s largest enterprises, Synadia powers some of the most demanding distributed systems on the planet.

The Role

Engineers love NATS. Synadia’s customer base is growing. And our story is getting bigger as the product, market, and use cases evolve with the rise of agentic systems.

We’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager to help keep that story clear, compelling, and consistent.

You’ll work closely with the Head of Marketing to sharpen our positioning, shape product launches, craft copy across channels, and turn customer and product momentum into clear market narratives.

This is a writing-heavy, technically curious role. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you do need to understand enough about distributed systems, developer tools, infrastructure, and AI to earn credibility with engineers and technical buyers. You should be just as comfortable writing a homepage headline as you are shaping a launch narrative, deeply researching a competitor, or translating a technical product update into language that helps the market understand why it matters.

Synadia sits at the intersection of open source, developer adoption, and enterprise sales. You’ll need to be comfortable operating across all three.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with marketing, product, and company leadership on go-to-market, messaging, and launch strategy.
  • Develop positioning that resonates with distributed systems engineers, AI infrastructure teams, platform teams, and technical decision makers.
  • Own and refine narrative and copy across our key surfaces, including web, video, email, social, events, campaigns, and sales collateral.
  • Help ensure Synadia’s voice, value proposition, and point of view are clear, consistent, and distinct.
  • Partner with Sales to understand what is blocking or accelerating deals, then translate those insights into better messaging, sharper collateral, and more effective enablement.
  • Turn technical product capabilities into clear, differentiated stories for practitioners and technical buyers, from first-touch awareness to deep evaluation.

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of total experience, with 2+ years in product marketing, ideally in developer tools, infrastructure, cloud, data, AI, or related technical markets.
  • Experience working at an early stage startup.
  • Strong technical curiosity and enough fluency in distributed systems, infrastructure, or AI to communicate credibly with engineers.
  • Ownership, initiative, creativity. First-principles thinking over generic marketing playbooks.
  • Breaks down large goals into shippable work, with the taste to sweat the right details.
  • Experience creating positioning and messaging for both practitioners and technical decision makers.
  • Comfort moving between open-source, bottom-up developer adoption and enterprise sales motions.
  • Strong collaboration skills across marketing, sales, product, and leadership.

You Might Be a Fit If

  • You like making technical products easier to understand without dumbing them down.
  • You can write for engineers without sounding like a spec sheet.
  • You know that positioning is not just words on a page; it shapes how customers, sales teams, analysts, partners, and the market understand the company.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy turning scattered inputs into a clear story.
  • You understand that great product marketing lives somewhere between strategy, writing, sales enablement, customer insight, and distribution.

Why Synadia

NATS already runs in some of the most unforgiving environments in software. The next chapter is bigger.

As infrastructure becomes more distributed, as AI moves closer to where work happens, and as companies rethink how their systems and agents communicate, Synadia is building the connective layer for what comes next.

This is a chance to help shape how that story is told.
