Job Summary
This job is not routine and requires creativity, critical thinking, expert troubleshooting, strong collaboration skills and desire to try something new. You’ll work directly with customers to ensure their success with sync meetings, design reviews, answering questions, and resolving their technical issues. Questions range in nature from software bugs, misconfigured networks, distributed systems and customers who need help getting started or expanding their installation.
Because this team is evolving, you’ll help define processes, build tooling and work across teams to create the most effective and efficient experience for our customers and the support team. You will help build the foundation for long term loyal customers and a strong and productive team. A successful candidate has at least five years support experience, is motivated and a self-starter capable of working well independently and with a distributed team.
Requirements
Love for working with customers and solving problems
Experience supporting enterprise customers running production environments.
Critical thinker, effective troubleshooter, not afraid to document solutions
Strong Unix/Linux systems level troubleshooting skills
Track-record of seeing problems through to a complete resolution
Experience performance tuning and optimizing software
Experience with DNS, LoadBalancers, Proxies
Familiar with distributed systems
Experience using or integrating APIs
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using, designing or developing messaging technologies, such as, but not limited to NATS.io, JMS, MQTT, AMQP, Kafka, RabbitMQ
Go (golang) experience
Experience interacting with user groups and open source communities.
Experience or familiarity with IoT architectures
Experience with Kubernetes
Knowledge of web, security and virtualization technologies
Proficient in root cause analysis
Understanding of protocols such as TCP-IP, UDP, TLS, HTTP, Certs
